Crystel Cortez is a fixture in the San Antonio hair and arts scene for almost two decades. Well known for her collaborative work, she's now making a name for herself in the Bridal Industry as a bridal stylist.

A lot of Stylists at that time didn't want to take up-dos with the exception of the educators. Honestly they were not a favorite (a little intimidating and maybe tedious). Even I'd take them and recall they weren't my favorite.
I was asked to teach an up-do one time. I did. After that I was like, you know what, I actually do like them. After seeing what I created I realized it had just taken a lot of practicing to say I like up-dos for events."
"During my TG days we did photographic awards. I enjoyed avant garde shoots. I did collaborations with incredible local artists and MUAs."
The bulk of her photo shoot collaborations for various creative projects took place between 2008-2011.

During the pandemic quarantine of 2020, Crystel took a bridal course via the Renee Marie Academy which took her in depth through the foundations of bridal styling.
"It opened up my awareness for bridal hair. After the Covid lockdown, I got back into cutting and coloring services for the past year working at D's Barbershop. That's when I discovered I wanted to specialize in bridal hair."
